LeaseCrunch to Lead CPE Credit Virtual Seminars in June

LeaseCrunch will host two free CPE credit virtual seminars in June, led by Director of Client Success Jess Vento, covering key topics on ASC 842 lease accounting standards and software rollout tips, including lease portfolio analysis, contract review, lease liability calculations, and implementation strategies.

LeaseCrunch, a cloud-based lease accounting software company, announced it will lead two free CPE credit virtual seminars in June. LeaseCrunch Director of Client Success, Jess Vento, will present “ASC 842 - Understanding the Lease Accounting Standard” and “Lease Accounting Software Rollout Tips.”

ASC 842 – Understanding the Lease Accounting Standard

  • Date: June 9, 2:00 PM EDT
  • Description: This course will cover key ASC 842 issues. Attendees will learn how to gather their lease portfolio, analyze the leases, and review contracts for embedded leases. Real world lease examples will be shared and the discussion will cover calculating the lease liability, ROU asset, and practical expedients.

Lease Accounting Software Rollout Tips

  • Date: June 15, 01:00 PM EDT
  • Description: This course will cover ASC 842 implementation dates, key terms, and differences/similarities between ASC 840 and ASC 842. The discussion will include lease accounting software, implementation preparation including policy elections, determining initial application date, discount rates, and how to recognize a Right-Of-Use Asset and Lease Liability under ASC 842.

Jess Vento, MBA, holds an MBA in Leadership and Management and a BA in Accounting from Ottawa University. Jess held previous positions at US Bank, Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Burke Properties, and most recently at Founders 3 Real Estate Services. She is also a past President of the Accounting & Financial Women's Alliance (AFWA) Milwaukee Chapter.
